The PPG is a group of volunteers who are registered patients at our Alliance Teaching Practices. PPG meetings are a safe space for patients to have their voices heard in discussions around available services and patient concerns.
What is the aim of a PPG?
The aims of the Patient Participation Group (PPG) are as follows:
- To encourage positive relationships between the patients and all of the surgery staff.
- To foster effective communication between patient population and your practice.
- Represent a voice for the patients in the practice.
- Be realistic about what we can achieve and make small changes that can make a real difference.
- To work together constructively and positively to help identify solutions and to work in partnership with the practice and other local organisations.
Mission statement
Through our first PPG we will be reviewing a mission statement that will reflect our Alliance Teaching Practices values that best suit our patients and staff members.
Interested in joining?
Your practice would like to present an opportunity for a handful of patients from our Alliance Teaching Practice (Foleshill, Stoke Aldmoor, Broad Lane and City of Coventry) to represent the thoughts and views of all the registered patients and work closely with the practice to implement fundamental changes for the benefit of patients and staff.
PPG is not a forum for complaints or grievances; although the group may discuss complaint themes to identify areas for improvement. PPG meeting may present the option for PPG members who are unable to attend in person to attend online via a Microsoft Teams meeting.
