Getting your test results
If your test results show that you need more tests or treatment, we will contact you.
Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:
- in your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- in your Patient Access account
Blood results
Results can be found on the NHS app within 7 to 10 days. However, if actions / follow ups are required, your GP surgery will get in contact with you via a phone call or SMS.
X-Ray
Results can take up to 12 to 16 weeks, if we have requested an X-Ray, please ring the surgery after 12 weeks if you have not heard anything. If however, the consultant specifically has requested an X-Ray please contact them directly.
Cervical smear
Results are posted directly to the patient within 8 weeks.
