Talking Therapies will host an eight-week online course for those experiencing anxiety and low mood due to menopause and perimenopause. The course will provide information and teach skills to help understand how mental health might be impacted by menopause/perimenopause, how low mood and anxiety is maintained and how this can be changed using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) skills.
This is an online course from 5.30-7.30pm that starts on Monday 13 April with the final class on Monday 15 June. The schedule is listed below:

- No class (break for 4th May bank holiday)
- Monday 11th May
- Monday 18th May
- No class (break for 25th May bank holiday)
- Monday 1st June
- Monday 8th June
- Monday 15th June
Each course usually takes a maximum of 15 participants.
The course is designed for women experiencing low mood or anxiety where the menopause is a significant contributing factor. They should be suitable for treatment at step 2/3 of the Talking Therapies care pathway.
The course is not suitable for those seeking medical/hormonal interventions
Please be mindful of any trauma relating to onset of menopause e.g. surgery for cancer. If trauma is significant part of the presenting picture, 1:1 therapy may be more appropriate.
